Sticky Pineapple Steak Bites

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Marination Time: 30 minutes (up to 2 hours)
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients:

1 lb (450g) Steak (sirloin, ribeye, or flank)
1 cup Pineapple (fresh or juice, for marinade)
2 tbsp Soy sauce
2 tbsp Brown sugar
2 cloves Garlic (minced)
1 tsp Fresh ginger (grated)
1 tbsp Olive oil
Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

Prepare the Marinade:In a bowl, combine pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Stir the mixture until the brown sugar dissolves completely.
Marinate the Steak:Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes. Place the cubes in the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more intense flavor.
Cook the Steak Bites:Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak cubes in batches, ensuring they aren’t overcrowded. Sear the steak cubes for about 4-6 minutes until they are golden brown and cooked to your desired doneness.
Make the Sticky Glaze:Once the steak bites are cooked, remove them from the skillet and set them aside. Pour the remaining marinade into the pan and let it simmer for 3-5 minutes, until it thickens into a sticky glaze.
Toss the Steak Bites:Return the steak bites to the skillet and toss them in the thickened glaze. Let them cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to ensure they are well-coated in the sticky sauce.
Serve:Remove from heat and serve hot. Optionally, garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions.

Serving Suggestions:

Serve with steamed rice or a crisp, refreshing salad.
Add roasted vegetables or crispy fries for extra flavor and texture.
