Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak and Potatoes

Tender beef patties simmered in a rich onion gravy with hearty chunks of potatoes… this is comfort food at its best. Everything cooks low and slow in one pot until it’s thick, savory, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.
Set it, forget it, and come home to the coziest dinner ever.
🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
For the Patties:
1 ½ lbs ground beef
⅓ cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Gravy & Potatoes:
1 small onion, diced
1 ½ lbs Yukon Gold potatoes, cut into chunks
2 cups beef broth
1 packet (1 oz) brown gravy mix
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)
👩‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Make the patties.
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix gently and form into thick oval patties.
2️⃣ Layer in the slow cooker.
Add diced onion and potatoes to the bottom of the slow cooker. Place patties on top.
3️⃣ Mix the gravy.
In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, gravy mix, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup. Pour over the patties and potatoes.
4️⃣ Cook low and slow.
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until potatoes are tender and patties are cooked through.
5️⃣ Thicken (optional).
If you prefer thicker gravy, stir in cornstarch slurry during the last 20 minutes of cooking.
6️⃣ Serve warm.
Spoon extra gravy over the patties and potatoes before serving.
