Slow Cooker Garlic Butter Beef Roast

Tender, fall-apart beef coated in a rich, sticky honey-garlic sauce. This is one of those easy slow cooker dinners that tastes like you spent hours in the kitchen!
Ingredients
3–4 lb beef chuck roast
1 tbsp olive oil
5 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup beef broth
⅓ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water, optional
Instructions
Pat the beef dry and season with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and onion powder.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the roast for 3–4 minutes per side until deeply browned.
Place the beef in the slow cooker.
Mix together the garlic, beef broth, honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Pour over the roast.
Cover and cook on LOW for 8–9 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours, until the beef is very tender.
Remove the beef and shred or slice it.
For a thicker glaze, transfer some of the cooking liquid to a saucepan. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
Pour the glossy sauce over the beef and serve hot.
