Slow Cooker Chicken, Cabbage & Potatoes

Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
6 chicken drumsticks
1 small head green cabbage, cut into wedges
4 medium Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and chunked
1 cup chicken broth
3 tbsp butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika
½ tsp dried thyme
Optional:
½ tsp onion powder
Fresh parsley for garnish
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Layer the vegetables. Place cabbage wedges and potatoes in the bottom of the slow cooker.
Season the chicken. Pat drumsticks dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
Assemble. Place chicken on top of the vegetables.
Add flavor. Mix melted butter, garlic, and broth. Pour evenly over everything.
Cook. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and cooked through.
Serve. Spoon broth over the top and garnish with fresh parsley.
🍽️ Serving Suggestions
Serve with crusty bread to soak up the broth
Add a splash of apple cider vinegar before serving for brightness
Sprinkle with extra black pepper
