Slow Cooker Beef Tips in Rich Gravy

🛒 Ingredients
For the beef
2½ lbs beef chuck roast or beef tips
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
For the gravy
1½ cups beef broth
1 packet onion soup mix
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp water
👩‍🍳 Instructions
Season the beef on all sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef until browned on all sides.
Place the beef into the slow cooker. Add chopped onion and garlic.
In a bowl, whisk together beef broth, onion soup mix, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over the beef.
Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours, until the beef is fork-tender.
Mix cornstarch and water, stir into the slow cooker, cover, and cook another 20–30 minutes until thickened.
Slice or shred the beef and spoon the gravy over the top before serving.
