Old-Fashioned Ambrosia Salad

Ingredients
1 can (15 oz) mandarin oranges, drained
1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks or tidbits, drained
1 cup maraschino cherries, drained and halved
2 cups mini marshmallows
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1 cup sour cream
1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip)
½ cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
Drain the mandarin oranges, pineapple, and maraschino cherries very well to prevent the salad from becoming watery.
In a large mixing bowl, gently combine the mandarin oranges, pineapple chunks, cherries, coconut, and mini marshmallows.
Fold in the sour cream and whipped topping until everything is evenly coated and creamy.
If using pecans, gently stir them into the salad.
Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to blend together.
Serve chilled and garnish with extra cherries or coconut if desired.
