Mongolian Noodles with Ground Beef

Ingredients
8 oz wide rice noodles or lo mein noodles
1 lb ground beef
1 tbsp vegetable oil
4 cloves garlic minced
1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp hoisin sauce optional
1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
1/2 cup beef broth or water
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional
3 green onions chopped
Method
Step 1: Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
Step 2: In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Cook ground beef until browned, then add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
Step 3: Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, hoisin sauce (if using), beef broth or water, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes. Let simmer for 3–4 minutes.
Step 4: Add cornstarch slurry and stir. Cook until the sauce thickens slightly.
Step 5: Add cooked noodles and green onions. Toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
Step 6: Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
