Hot Honey Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup of honey (raw or organic for the best flavor)
2-3 chili peppers (fresh or dried, adjust according to heat preference)
2 cloves of garlic (optional, for added depth)
1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar (optional, for balance)
1/2 teaspoon of salt (to enhance flavor balance)
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients: Slice the chili peppers and, if using garlic, mince it finely. The number of peppers can be adjusted based on how spicy you want the honey.
Heat the Honey: In a saucepan, add the honey and chili peppers (and garlic if using). Heat over medium-low heat. Stir occasionally and let it simmer for 5-10 minutes, depending on how intense you want the flavors.
Strain the Honey: After simmering, remove from heat. If you prefer a smooth honey, strain out the peppers and garlic. Allow the honey to cool to room temperature.
Store and Enjoy: Once cooled, transfer the hot honey into a glass jar. It’s now ready to be used, and the flavors will continue to develop as it sits.
Tips:
Adjust the Spice: For a milder flavor, use jalapeños or Anaheim peppers. For more heat, go for habaneros or Thai chilies.
Infuse Other Flavors: Add herbs like rosemary or thyme for a savory twist, or a little cinnamon for extra warmth.
Enjoy this hot honey on everything from pizza to fried chicken to your morning toast!
