Cuisine: American
Method: Oven-Baked Foil Packets
Ingredients
4 salmon steaks
½ cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons melted butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
1 medium zucchini, sliced
1 cup cherry tomatoes
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Red pepper flakes, optional
Lemon slices, for serving
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C).
Tear four large sheets of heavy-duty foil and lightly grease the centers.
Divide the zucchini and cherry tomatoes evenly between the foil sheets.
Season the salmon steaks with salt and black pepper, then place one over each portion of vegetables.
In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, melted butter, garlic, Parmesan, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, parsley, and dill.
Spoon the creamy garlic herb sauce over each salmon steak.
Add a lemon slice on top and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired.
Fold the foil over the salmon and seal the edges to form packets.
Place the packets on a baking sheet and bake for 12–20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon.
Carefully open the packets, garnish with extra parsley or dill, and serve warm.
Notes
Salmon fillets can be used instead of salmon steaks.
Add asparagus, bell peppers, spinach, or green beans if you want extra vegetables.
Thin salmon pieces may cook faster, so start checking them early.
For food safety, cook salmon to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
Open the foil packets carefully because hot steam will escape.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, roasted potatoes, pasta, steamed vegetables, salad, or crusty bread.
