Ingredients
- 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 cup cold whole milk
- 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
- 3 medium ripe bananas, sliced
- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, well drained
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips
- ½ cup maraschino cherries, drained and halved
- Chocolate syrup for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the pudding: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thick and smooth.
2. Add whipped topping: Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until the mixture becomes light, creamy, and fluffy.
3. Mix in the fruit: Add the well-drained crushed pineapple, chopped strawberries, and mini marshmallows. Stir gently until evenly combined.
4. Add chocolate and nuts: Fold in the mini chocolate chips and chopped pecans or walnuts, reserving a little for garnish.
5. Chill: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend and the mixture to firm up.
6. Add bananas: Just before serving, gently fold in the freshly sliced bananas and maraschino cherries.
7. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with reserved chocolate chips and nuts. Drizzle with chocolate syrup if desired, and serve chilled.
Notes
- Prevent browning: Add bananas just before serving to keep them fresh.
- Avoid watery fluff: Drain pineapple thoroughly and pat strawberries dry.
- Make ahead: Prepare the creamy base the night before and add bananas before serving.
- Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container and enjoy within 1–2 days for the best texture.
- Variations: Try chocolate pudding, softened cream cheese, or toasted coconut for different flavors.
Enjoy your creamy, delicious homemade Banana Split Fluff!
