Baked Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs

Ingredients:
For the Meatballs:
1 lb ground beef (or beef & pork mix)
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 large egg
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper, to taste
8 oz fresh mozzarella, cut into small cubes
For Baking:
2 cups marinara sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
Fresh parsley or basil, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
Prepare Meatball Mixture:In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
Form the Meatballs:Take a small portion of the meat mixture and flatten it in your hand. Place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center, then roll the meat around the cheese to form a ball. Repeat with the remaining mixture and arrange the meatballs in the prepared baking dish.
Add Sauce and Oil:Spoon the marinara sauce over the meatballs and drizzle with olive oil.
Bake:Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, until the meatballs are cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F or 71°C) and the mozzarella has melted inside.
Garnish and Serve:Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or basil. Serve hot with your choice of pasta, mashed potatoes, garlic bread, or a salad.
