1 (16.3 oz) can flaky refrigerated biscuits1 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese1 tablespoon olive oil1 small onion, thinly sliced1 tablespoon butterAu Jus Sauce1 (10.5 oz) can beef consommé or beef broth1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce1 teaspoon soy sauce1 teaspoon garlic powder1/2 teaspoon onion powder1/2 teaspoon dried thyme1/2 teaspoon black pepperOptional: Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin.In a small saucepan, combine all au jus ingredients. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until caramelized, about 10 minutes.Flatten each biscuit into a 4-inch circle.Place roast beef, caramelized onions, and cheese in the center of each biscuit.Fold edges over filling, pinch to seal, and place seam-side down in the muffin tin.Bake for 14–17 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.Reheat au jus and serve biscuits hot with dipping sauce. Garnish with parsley if desired.
