Ingredients

1 (16.3 oz) can flaky refrigerated biscuits
1 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon butter
Au Jus Sauce
1 (10.5 oz) can beef consommé or beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin.
In a small saucepan, combine all au jus ingredients. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sauté until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
Flatten each biscuit into a 4-inch circle.
Place roast beef, caramelized onions, and cheese in the center of each biscuit.
Fold edges over filling, pinch to seal, and place seam-side down in the muffin tin.
Bake for 14–17 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
Reheat au jus and serve biscuits hot with dipping sauce. Garnish with parsley if desired.
